You are Never Alone

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

While these words were spoken to Joshua when he took over for Moses, they are also applicable to us. Take a moment and read Psalm 139 out loud and see that God's promise to be with us is for all who truly call upon him. Listen to Jesus' words in Matthew 28:18-20, as he promises his disciples to "be with them always, even to the close of the age." Remember God's promise, reiterated from an Old Testament blessing in Hebrews 13:5, "Never will I leave you, never will I desert you!" Let's be strong; our God, our Father, our Shepherd is always near, even if it doesn't seem so. We cannot go anywhere without his presence being near us and in us. We are not alone. We don't have to be afraid. In fact, not even death can separate us from his love (see Romans 8:35-39).

My thoughts on Todays Verse

What a breath of fresh air to know that God will never leave us nor forsake us. He's always there for us even in the darkest hours. Remember God has big plans for you. He knows the beginning and the end of your book. I know it would be awesome to just jump to the end of our book and just live happily ever after! But no this cant be done because God is creating a good work in you. So whenever we want to just throw in the towel and raise our white flag, this is the best time where we should go to the source of our comfort...God! He knows when to bring you out and he knows how to bring you out. No one else can do this but God! Just like he brought out the people of Israel he can do the same thing for you!
