10 Summer Beauty Hacks Worth Trying Out!

-
Its June 1st and you know what that means...time for some summer vibes on the blog! Summer is just around the corner so I've gathered up some amazing summer hacks to save your skin. Although the summer makes almost everyone happy (seriously why doesn't everyone like summer) it doesn't always make our skin and hair happy! Summer weather can wreck havoc on your normal makeup, hair,  and skin routines so its time to focus on beating the summer heat, flawlessly!

10 Best Summer Beauty Hacks, Tips, and Tricks!

1. Switch out your winter staples for summer heat proof and water proof staples.

  1. Go from Powders to BB Creams
  2. Opt out of matte drying lipsticks to tinted lip balms
  3. Skip the Smokey eye and go for clean beach shades such as golds and bronze hues.
  4. Toss dark nail polish into a bin and go for bright bold colors such as corals!
  5. Go for cream based blushes instead of powdered brushes

2. Use Olive oil to keep razor smooth

To avoid nicks when shaving use olive oil to clean your razor! It keeps the razor smooth and keeps the metal from rusting

3. Use Tea to Get rid of Bikini Line rashes!
Use Chilled Chamomile Tea Bags along your bikini line to sooth a rash. Just steep the bags for 15020 minutes in the freezer and then lay them on your bikini line where the rash is. Perfect calming effector!

4. One of my favorite hacks is to cure cracked heels with Vaseline.
Vaseline is my holy grail for anything! Applying this to the feet will give your smooth feet like no other!

5. However if your heels are really bad here's an awesome soak to try!
Seriously I got to try this out! Who else would love smooth feet just from a relaxing soak!
  1. 1/4 cup Listerine
  2.  1/4 cup vinegar
  3. 1/2 cup warm or hot water
  4. Soak for 10-15 minutes and wipe with a cloth!

6.Freeze Aloe Vera gel in ice cube trays to treat excruciating sunburn.
Aloe Vera gel is perfect for burns as it gives off a soothing affect! I've never had sunburn but have used Aloe Vera for so many things!

7. Create a super easy sweat-proof base for your makeup using two must have items!
  1. Heavy duty but totally lightweight primer
  2. Swap powders for finishing sprays

8. Shave with baby oil to keep  skin smooth and reduce skin irritation!
This has to work as baby oil is my go to for smooth soft skin!

9. Use a dryer sheet to repel bugs!
Repel bugs during the evening by rubbing dryer sheets on your clothes, legs, and keep one or two in your pocket! The scent repels the bugs without needing to spray that funky bug repellent and you'll be smelling like fresh linen Mmmmm!

10. Get with the Deodorant hacks
  1. Apply deodorant to neck 10 minutes before blow drying hair to soak up oils to prevent frizz on a fresh new hair do...I wish I would have know this when I had relaxers...#blackgirlproblems!
  2. Apply deodorant to your thighs to reduce rubbing and chaffing in shorts...#thickgirlproblems!

So I hope you like my summer beauty hacks to keep you sweat-proof, sunburn- proof, and razor burn proof all summer long! I can't wait to try all of these except for the sunburn...no one wants sun burn!

  6. Oh wow you're lucky you've never had a sunburn! I'm actually nursing the end of a pretty nasty sunburn right now myself and aloe Vera has been a lifesaver. I love the idea of using olive oil for your razor as well.
